Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Group SHEQ Director, you will:
* Lead and implement high standards of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) practices across multiple sites.
* Develop and maintain effective policies and procedures aligned with current legislation and business needs.
* Conduct risk assessments, create action plans, and ensure control measures are implemented.
* Deliver engaging onboarding programmes for employees, contractors, and visitors.
* Train and coach teams to embed a safety-first culture and continuous improvement mindset.
* Monitor site operations through audits, inspections, and incident investigations to ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with regulators and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and reporting.
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
* At least 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety, with 3 years in manufacturing or heavy industry.
* Familiarity with BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, and ideally ISO 14001 and ISO 9000 standards.
* Strong proficiency in MS Office and excellent report-writing skills.
