Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with, a global leader in solar energy solutions, to recruit a PV Engineer for their UK operations.
The strategically important PV Engineer role comes with a competitive salary ranging from �35,000 to �43,000 (rising upon SCADA training), bonus opportunities, and an excellent benefits package, including health cover and pension contributions.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will:
* Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
* Fault-find on both AC and DC systems, including AC distribution boards, combiner boxes, automation panels, and central inverters.
* Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations.
* Provide detailed site visit reports via the online reporting system.
* Occasionally travel overnight or work weekends on a rota basis (with additional pay).
* Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as per the annual plan and operational needs.
* Maintain accurate records of electrical testing suitable for audit.
* Comply with all fire, health, and safety requirements and attend relevant training.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations.
* C&G 2382-18 and C&G 2391-52 or equivalent (Test & Inspect).
* HV AP qualification.
* Knowledge of maintenance procedures, AC/DC electrical systems, and high-voltage systems (33kV).
* Previous utility scale solar experience or commercial
* SCADA systems are desirable (training provided if required).

* Willing to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.

* Salary: �35,000–�43,000 (DOE)
* Weekend rota pay: additional �6,000 per annum.
