The team consists of 5 colleagues in the Savings Products area, where this role will be primarily based. Alongside this we have 3 colleagues responsible for our Partnership Product lines (home & Life Insurance). Our core purpose is to ensure that we continue to have high quality products available to our members to make their money work harder and this role will play a key role in delivering this. We work closely with a variety of different teams across the business, including our colleagues in the Homes Products team as we look to balance the money we bring in on savings and the money we lend out on mortgages.What Will You Be Doing?As Senior Product Proposition and Governance Manager you willLead on the creation of meaningful propositions that deliver on our Money teams’ purpose and vision - to help members money work harder & delivering high quality products & propositions.Work closely with the Pricing team to ensure our products are set up to drive sustained commercial performance and delivery of our savings targets.Influence our strategic and tactical change agenda, working closely with our Product Owner & Savings Change Hub to deliver the change.Provide the cross functional links to other Money product areas to ensure strategic fit and alignment with key customer demographics.Build and maintain excellent working relationships with leaders across the Money business and Enabling functions (eg Marketing, Risk, PR) to support in the delivery of the team’s goals.Maintain a strong awareness of the external market including risks and opportunities, with a view on how this impacts our strategic priorities.Maintaining and reviewing the Product Development & Governance Processes and co-ordinating with others to ensure
that Governance activities are initiated at the required times.Provide expertise and support to the Savings/Money Business on Product Governance as well as Consumer DutyWorking with wider pricing team and other internal stakeholders to complete the annual Fair Value Assessments and Product Reviews.Gathering, analysing and monitoring MI data and identifying any trends for savings products relating specifically to product governance, Consumer Duty & Fair Value Assessments.Provide the required reporting to internal committees within the specified timescales and following up on any actions after.Support the Head of Savings & Partnership Products in driving a high-performance culture in the teamSupport the Head of Savings & Partnership products in maintaining robust levels of skills and knowledge in the team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements, leading to the delivery of good customer outcomes and fair value for all customers.What Do We Need From You?We’re looking for someone who has worked in a similar role before and possesses the following skills, knowledge and experience.Good knowledge of financial services governance & regulatory framework with experience of Consumer Duty implementation, ideally with knowledge of the UK savings market.Experience of customer focused proposition development.Knowledge of strategic planning, goal setting and measurement of Key Performance Indicators.Strong leadership, influencing, stakeholder and interpersonal skills including experience of influencing senior executives and third parties.Experience of organising and directing multiple teams and departments in a matrix environment.The ability to confidently navigate ambiguity, a passion for developing creative solutions and driving commercial performance.Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to concisely articulate trends and markets.What’s In It For You?The role of Senior Product Proposition and Governance Manager is a permanent opportunity working 35 hours per week.The role will be based at our Head Office in Skipton, however as Skipton values work/life balance this role can accommodate hybrid working with 1 day per week in the office.
