HMP Addiewell is seeking a Head of Security and Operations to join our dynamic team, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our prison, while also contributing to a culture of rehabilitation and continuous improvement.As the Head of Security and Operations, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for devising and implementing strategies that balance security and operational risks with rehabilitative approaches. Your role involves anticipating and mitigating operational, financial, contractual, and reputational risks through dynamic threat analysis and effective intelligence gathering and dissemination. You will be instrumental in creating a secure and rehabilitative environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors, while ensuring that all activities are aligned with public protection standards.You will work closely with various departments within the prison and maintain significant relationships with external partners such as Police Scotland, SPS Head of Operations, security functions, and the Security Sub-Group.Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards, leading governance and quality assurance processes, and acting as the corruption prevention and professional standards lead.
