Your new role…The Retail Operations function is the engine room, behind the scenes, supporting the Trade Teams and wider business areas to operate effectively.A large function of this role is to be the connecting ‘voice’ between the Trade Teams and wider business areas. You will be communicating updates, many will be business-critical, with stakeholders at all levels.The remaining function of this role is to coordinate all aspects of retail store administrative tasks and support Trade Team activity and event planning.A day in the life of… Here are just a few of the things you’ll be getting up to as a Retail Operations Co ordinator…You'll leave no stone unturned in your quest to create truly exceptional ways of working.In addition to creating high-quality communications, you will be accountable for admin workflows such as goods ordering for the retail estate, travel and accommodation bookings, and supporting trade team event planning. As you can see, your coordinator role is imperative to the day-to-day successful running of the trade teams. You’ll treat Sofologists like they are family, ensuring that you have friendly, engaging encounters with every conversation.With high energy, and a can-do, proactive attitude, you’ll manage fast-paced workloads.You’ll work closely collaborating with your team, demonstrating effective administration of retail operations inboxes and tasks in a timely, professional manner.You need to be easygoing, and just generally great to work with. This is a small team, so strong teamwork skills are a must. You’ll also possess the ability to work well alone, adhering to strict deadlines.You will create and publish content on a set day and time, to an audience of hundreds of Sofologists! Therefore, strong literacy skills and an eye for detail are essential.Your passion is naturally contagious and you enjoy working in a fun and creative environment. In your role, you will liaise with Sofologists at all levels, across all business areas. You will build strong working relationships with stakeholders, and be trusted to deliver their business-critical communication updates on time, and in a way that is clear, concise, and engaging for the audience.Constantly thinking outside of the box. We want you to professionally challenge when your requested processes and procedures are not followed, working closely with leadership to drive and deliver excellence through all stores.Introducing a feedback loop is incredibly important. Email and phone conversations are good, but taking the initiative to carry out store or Support Office visits to engage your audience sometimes is even better!In an ideal world…You will have the following experience…Administration experience is desired but not essential.Able to work towards a set deadline, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail are key.A real can-do attitude when working in a fast-paced, yet highly rewarding role.Due to the nature of the role, strong literacy skills are essential.We’re looking for someone experienced and confident using a laptop, and composing emails.Experience in using Microsoft Documents or Gsuite software is desired but not essential (day-to-day, the team will use Google Sheets which is similar to Microsoft Excel, Google Docs which is similar to Microsoft Word, and Google Slides, which is similar to Microsoft Powerpoint).There are a number of internal systems and platforms to complete workflows in this role. We’re looking for someone with an open mind to learn new ways of working, and embrace becoming skilled in new technologies.People skills are a must in this role.
