We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Administrator who will be responsible for administrative duties in relation to the Teesside Sexual Health Service and will assist with the provision of the sexual health service and contribute to the effective running of the clinics through the delivery of administrative tasks which directly support the service and by maintaining administrative systems and procedures including reception duties, back-office support, manage incoming calls from the call centre and action as required and through direct patient contact.
We provide free and confidential sexual health services in Teesside including information and advice on all types of contraception and STI testing and treatment. Our service is confidential, non-judgmental and for people of all ages, genders and orientations. Our sexual health clinics can be found in Middlesbrough, Redcar, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees.
This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week) based in Hartlepool however, there may be some requirement to travel to other bases on occasion and therefore a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main Responsibilities
Reception desk duties including greeting and registering patients, booking appointments and handling general enquires from patients, other healthcare professionals and the public where appropriate.
Manage incoming calls from the ‘call centre’ and action as required.
To assist with the distribution of mail and notices as required.
Send appointment reminders for all sites.
Check for unallocated postal test results and match them to the corresponding patient record or action as necessary.
Run reports from clinical system.
Book any required translators for appointments.
Process postal test results.
Management of patient and records and results.
To maintain high standards of data quality.
Production of letters as required.
To assist in the inputting of data into the clinical system.
Recording of messages for clinical staff, ensuring that they are accurate and passed the appropriate party.
To deal effectively with incoming and outgoing post.
To assist with filing and management of patient records and information.
Support the administration of spoke clinics.
Support the sexual health call centre as required.
The post holder will:
Be able to prioritise workload and use own initiative.
Work flexibly in response to the needs of the service.
Undertake any additional duties as required;
Liaise with management and VH team to resolve any problems/issues with postal/express testing.
The Ideal Candidate
NVQ 2 in business administration
Experience of working in a healthcare environment in an administrative role.
Must be able to demonstrate an interest in Business Administration and Health Care
Ability to use Microsoft Office to assist in producing a variety of documents
Ability to communicate clearly face to face and on the telephone to a variety of people
Flexible approach to work by responding to the needs of the services including, at times, requirements to work beyond normal working hours
Commitment to own continuous personal and professional development
Strong team player, committed to an ethos of continuous improvement
Desirable
Knowledge of sexual health
