Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist (Band 7) to join a private hospital team in Hertfordshire . The position offers a rewarding role in providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing advice on pharmaceutical care, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (with 30-minute break) OR Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm (with 1-hour break)
* Start Date: ASAP, with a start window in December or January
* Duration: Minimum of 6 months (with possible extension)
* Hourly Rates: �27ph - �37ph, depending on experience
* Shift Pattern: Full-time, weekdays only
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, ensuring safe and effective use of medications
* Conduct patient medication reviews and offer advice on pharmaceutical care
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient treatment plans
* Monitor the safety and effectiveness of drug therapies, adjusting as necessary
* Educate patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital standards
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Previous experience in a clinical pharmacy role, preferably in a hospital setting
* Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of current pharmacy practice and regulations
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Desirable Skills:
* Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy (e.g., Clinical Diploma or MSc)
* Experience working in a private healthcare setting
