Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Teacher of Health and Social Care to join our Strodes College team on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year working on a part-time 0.32 FTE basis.Teacher of Health and Social CareThis part-time position is on a fixed term basis expected to last until the end of the academic year in July 2025 and involves 10 teaching hours per week.As a teacher of Health and Social Care you will be responsible for delivering a teaching program on the Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care curriculum. You will be also responsible for regularly assessing student progress, preparing progress reports, and providing accurate and timely data and information. Maintaining student morale and discipline both inside and outside the classroom, keeping up to date with curriculum development and assessment requirements, and working effectively within a team to devise and maintain teachingstrategies is also very important.The post holder is also expected to contribute to the college's outreach and liaison work, participate in professional development, and promote the college's reputation.To be successful, you should have an appropriate degree, an endorsed teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards it, and Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.Experience in teaching BTEC Health & Social Care and providing pastoral support, preferably to students aged 16-18 is also required.The successful candidate should have knowledge of recent developments in the teaching of Health & Social Care, the ability to inspire students and deliver high-quality teaching and support, and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and IT skills.For further details on this role please refer to the attached job description/person specification.About UsThe Windsor Forest Colleges Group (TWFCG) is a leading education provider in the South-East.
