Working closely with Business Development and Growth Directors, you’ll use your sales acumen, data tools, and CRM expertise to exceed sector targets and fuel the growth of Compass Group UK & Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Qualification: Qualify new business leads based on target lists provided by your Business Development Director (BDD) or Growth Director (GD).CRM & Sales Engagement: Use Microsoft Dynamics to manage emails, calls, and LinkedIn activity with a combination of sequencing and direct outreach.Client Profiling: Maintain and refine the Ideal Client Profile for each sector, collaborating with your BDD or GD to ensure focused targeting.Data Sourcing: Utilize tools such as Cognism and Glenigans to proactively source contact information, occasionally partnering with the Research team for market insights.Compliance: Follow GDPR protocols for client data handling and inform prospects if calls are recorded.Appointment Generation: Secure pre-tender appointments for the sales team from qualified leads, documenting details in the Appointment Planner and sharing with your BDD/BDM.Reporting: Track and report weekly activity on Qualified Leads and Appointments via shared Teams groups.Target Achievement: Meet targets for qualification, appointments, calls, and emails, monitoring progress on the CRM system weekly.Networking: Build and expand a LinkedIn network of prospects within the buying matrix relevant to your sector.Sales Collateral: Identify opportunities for new sales collateral to support specific opportunities and coordinate with the Inside Sales Marketing Manager.Marketing Alignment: Partner with Inside Sales Marketing to leverage LinkedIn campaign data and Intent data for further lead qualification and appointment setting.Regular Reviews: Participate in weekly or biweekly reviews to update the Sales Team on activities and shifting priorities.Person SpecificationEssential Skills & Attributes:Passion for working in a fast-paced sales environment, with a commitment to learning and following the sales process.Entrepreneurial, target-driven mindset with a passion for food and services.Goal-oriented and adept at handling objections to meet revenue targets.Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy and timely recording habits.Excellent phone etiquette, active listening skills, and clear written communication for multi-level engagement.Team-oriented with a positive attitude toward contributing to team dynamics.A curious thinker open to exploring new markets and challenging conventional approaches.Interest in business disciplines such as Finance, Marketing, or Business Studies.Confident, resilient, and equipped with strong communication skills.Desirable Experience:1-2 years in a similar sales role.Proven experience working with KPIs.Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce or Dynamics.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Ready to make an impact?
