An opportunity is available for two Stock Controllers to join the Inventory & Stores team based at the Exeter or Huthwaite depot.
Reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, the main purpose of the job is to ensure company stock is maintained, reviewed and replenished efficiently to serve the needs of the business
*Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.

Main Responsibilities
Responsible for company stock, reviewing and maintaining company stock levels
Processing and progressing purchase orders
Reviewing daily stock shortages and service level reports
Maintaining data and providing usage and demand figures
Checking internal Inventory requests & transfers to maintain stock availability
Provide supplier performance details
Liaise with others to resolve issues, agree priorities, and monitor performance
Process and interrogate Inventory and purchasing transactions within E5
Assist with monthly KPI reporting and provide stats
Run Web Focus reports
Responsibility for Investment recovery transactions
Raise external billing requests
General administration duties
The Ideal CandidateYou will need to be organised, able to prioritise activities and have the ability to able to work on your own initiative and effectively as part of a team.
A good range of computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft office is essential to be successful in this role. The knowledge and ability to use the company system E5 would be advantageous although training can be provided.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing along with good numeracy skills.
National Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers. This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
