About The Company
Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments.  Based in its our own idyllic grounds, Ingfield Manor School offers extensive specialist facilities with the aim to provide an exceptional learning environment, helping children and young people fulfil their potential. Facilities include woodland and outdoor classroom space, high specification sensory room and swimming pool.
Our Ingfield Manor School provision caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.
Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).
We also have Beaumont Sussex on our campus, a Post-19 college for special educational needs and students with physical disabilities which is part of Beaumont College which offers pathways for students as they Prepare for Adulthood. 
We are looking for a Lead Therapist to join us and become part of our successful team, to be responsible for strategic leadership and management of the school and maintain high educational standards as well as Lead on all therapy needs across the different provisions.  This is a newly created role to ensure the high-quality delivery of therapeutic services providing an operational overview of the school age students and those in our newly established Post 19 Satellite.

About The Role
Job Overview
To be responsible for strategic leadership and management of the school and maintain high educational standards as well as Lead on all therapy needs across the different provisions.   This will include developing a robust clinical framework whilst providing leadership in its future development ensuring that it remains high quality and that the learning programmes offered fully meet the needs of students. The successful applicant will maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders, including local schools and relevant employers.
The post holder will be part of the wider senior management team within the Ingfield Manor campus and will work jointly with the Leads of the three provisions for the student’s part of their Integrated Therapy needs.
This is a newly created role to ensure the high-quality delivery of therapeutic services providing an operational overview of the school age students and those in our newly established Post 19 Satellite.
Hours: 40 hours per week. Term Time only (39 weeks). 
Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 (FTE 52wks £54,798 - £58,260) Dependent upon experience 
Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for overseeing delivery and governance of the therapy services to school-aged children, post-19 adults and statutory services (education and social care)
- To lead the therapies hub which includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and conductive education across Ingfield Manor, Woodview and Beaumont Sussex
- The identified person for linking education to therapy, having a clear directive and line management expectation of the various therapies across the three provisions.
- Responsible for the management and oversight of resolutions and tribunals engaging in the mediation and tribunal process as required.
- Undertake all therapy assessments for referrals.
- Ensure smooth running of delivery of EHCP hours.
- Coordinate statutory assessments.
- Undertake line management responsibilities, including appraisals, the development of personal development plans, performance monitoring, mentoring and professional development of staff in line with company and professional policies.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies / organisations at national and local levels to embed a delivery of universal, targeted and specialist therapy training

- Team Support. The post holder will be expected to support the work activity of all colleagues in their direct work team. Occasionally it may also be purposeful for the post holder to support other members of the school team as relevant to the competences of the post holder and in so far as this does not prevent effective delivery against the main duties detailed above.
- Respecting Information. The post holder is expected to respect any information that comes into their possession or exists in their environment relating to students, colleagues and other individuals. This requires following good practice and guidance on confidentiality.
- Safeguarding. The post holder has a duty to maintain the safety and welfare of the students and within the scope of their post must ensure all organisational policies and procedures on safeguarding are implemented. The post holder has a duty to report any concerns or incidents regarding student welfare promptly in accordance with school procedures and their training.
- Student Support. The post holder will need to recognise they work in a school environment which will occasionally require them to support student related activity. This may involve direct student support or colleagues in the delivery of that support.

The post holder will further Salutem’s vision and comply with the policies and procedures of Salutem and the school.  This job description will be kept under review to ensure that it remains up to date.  The post holder will be consulted about any proposed changes.
