As an Operational Team Lead take charge of a skilled team encompassing Field Engineering, RMA, and Rental Technicians. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing project flows, ensuring preparation for installations and mobilising engineers to meet critical deadlines. You'll champion the coordination of site visits, manage crucial client communications and spearhead internal strategies to keep our engineering services at the forefront of efficiency and innovation. Lead from the front, demonstrating your problem-solving prowess and adaptability to ever-changing project specifications and client needs.
Tasks required:
* Review quotations and planned works, provide feedback where required.
* Lead the field engineering team, manage rotas, plan works and push projects through to completion.
* Using in-house systems, review booked works and take action and lead the team to progress to completion.
* Work with in-house engineering team members to ensure prep work required for jobs is on track.
* Contact clients, attend meetings and calls to discuss planned works, discuss plans and resolve technical issues prior to site attendance.
* Plan site visits in advance, support and manage the planning team to ensure schedules and routes are well planned and work with client's deadlines.
* Create Risk assessments and Method statements based on works required.
* Manage and complete client specific documentation and portals ahead of site attendance.
* Review engineers' day sheet and work logs ensuring the provided data is accurate and the in-house systems have been updated.
* Complete project handover documentation for the client.
* Create and maintain new job work logs to be used by field engineers.
* Ensure all health and safety aspects of field engineering is covered and PPE, tools, equipment, vehicles and safety equipment are well maintained.
* Authorise leave requests and manage rotas of the team.
* Report to the Operations Director.
Operational Team Lead Requirements:
* Pro-active - Not everything goes smoothly, the ability to identify, react and resolve is essential.
* Have a solid understanding of field engineering tasks and engineering works to understand the works being undertaken.
* Have a good understanding and take action for Health and Safety of our field engineers and engineering team.
* Good planning and ability to react to an ever-changing workload.
* Great teamwork and collaboration - working as part of a close team is essential.
* Leadership - leading the operational team, instil and maintain good values within the team, lead by example
