At POhWER, we are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our forward-thinking and rapidly growing People team. You will be providing comprehensive support ensuring the efficient delivery of salary payments and any adjustments currently in conjunction with our external providers, ensuring compliance with current legislation in respect of Payroll.
In this role you will be efficient collecting all payroll information from our HR database, the HR team and line managers, ensuring the correct authorization for all elements of pay is received, in line with our specified delegation of authority. Liaising with the HR team to ensure all new starters, leavers, TUPE transfers and payroll changes are updated in time to be actioned in the correct payroll month. Checking paperwork is completed in line with any payroll changes i.e. contract amendments, supporting letters, alongside other duties as required.
Hours of Work: Full-time: 37 hours per week, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, standard office hours 9am to 5pm however with flexibility.
Location: Home based with occasional travel to on of our sites nationwide (Expense are paid from home for required travel with in our policy).
Salary: �30,000 - �35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits pro-rata

Payroll Specialist Requirements:
* Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing and strong understanding of statutory entitlements, deductions and payments.
* Be familiar with payroll software.
* Possess advanced excel skills.
* A mix of commercial and charity or public sector experience
* Excellent communication skills and a flexible and adaptable approach
