The Leeds CYPMHS crisis and liaison team are looking for a new CYPMHS crisis & Liaison practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health practitioner with professional registration to join Leeds CYPMHS crisis and liaison team, in this role you will support pathway development within the team.You must have experience of working in mental health services and have an interest in working with children, adolescents, and families, you must have excellent communication, negotiation, and supervisory skills as well as a strategic vision for how crisis services can lead to better outcomes. You will be integral to the continuing development of the team. Your wellbeing will be paramount, and you will be offered a robust induction, regular appraisals and supervision.You will be responsible for ensuring young people get the appropriate mental health assessment, treatment, advice, and consultation in relation to a range of complex difficulties. You will also provide advice and support to families and carers.Within your role you will take part in the daily MDT where clinical cases are discussed, and decisions are made. You will work within people from different professional backgrounds. You will link and work closely with other CYPMHS in Leeds as well as our third sector colleagues.The team operates 3 pathways “Emergency & urgent” “136 & MH” and “Liaison”, you will support with the continuing to review and develop one of these pathways, alongside colleagues in the team/service, other NHS trusts and third sector.The post will include shift work including regular unsocial hours. Shift work covering 8am - 830pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
