Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our client's team at a leading private hospital in West London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across various wards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the clinical team in the management of medicines on the wards.
* Conduct medication reconciliation for patients at admission and discharge.
* Review and update medication records and ensure accuracy.
* Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
* Provide guidance to nursing staff regarding medication administration.
* Assist in monitoring and reporting medication-related incidents.
* Participate in patient education regarding their medications as needed.
* Maintain compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly with ward-based experience.
* Strong knowledge of medicines management practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
