With all the exciting changes happening due to business growth, we’re on the lookout for a talented and experienced Digital Transformation Programme Manager to lead our Digital Front Door initiatives across various service contracts. In this exciting role, you’ll manage a portfolio of complex projects aimed at improving access to digital services for patients and clinicians alike, streamlining healthcare delivery, and enhancing patient outcomes.

You’ll be overseeing a team of project managers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Plus, you’ll play a key role in aligning our projects with our strategic goals and exploring new technologies that can add value to our digital offerings.

This is a fixed term role until July 2025, offering hybrid working between remote and occasional travel to our regional offices.

Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will lead the Digital Front Door programme, ensuring it aligns with business goals and measuring success through key performance indicators (KPIs). You will engage stakeholders by collaborating with clinicians, IT teams, and patient representatives to understand their requirements and secure support.

Providing strong leadership, you will mentor project managers to ensure the effective delivery of digital solutions. You’ll maintain governance structures and regularly report progress to senior management, while also identifying and mitigating programme risks and issues.

Additionally, you will manage budget allocation and resource efficiency, staying updated on emerging technologies to enhance patient care. Lastly, you will facilitate change by implementing initiatives for the adoption of digital solutions and developing training plans to support users.
The Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for someone with:


A degree or equivalent experience and a solid background in programme management, particularly with digital transformations in the NHS or healthcare.
You should have strong leadership skills to motivate project managers and a good understanding of NHS processes and challenges.
Familiarity with digital platforms and tools in healthcare is important, as is experience managing projects across different teams.
Financial skills, including budget management and ROI analysis, are essential, along with the ability to review and develop business cases.
You should be comfortable leading meetings and Programme Boards, with experience reporting to senior leadership.
A proven track record in leading change and building relationships with tech suppliers is also key. MSP or a similar programme management qualification is a plus.


Preferred but Not Essential Criteria:


Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, Agile/SCRUM
Familiarity with Digital Front Door initiatives or patient-facing technologies
Change management/service transformation
Supplier contract negotiation
Co-production with service users
