Astute’s Power team is partnering with a Biomass Power Station to recruit n Shift Technician for its sites in Lancing, West Sussex.
The Shift Technician role comes with a starting salary of �31,800 + bonus + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, as a Shift Technician, you will be responsible for:
* Operating the plant via the DCS system
* The safe and efficient operation of the plant including pumps, water treatment plant, motors, boiler plant etc
* Ensuring the plant is operating within its parameters whilst complying with strict HSE rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
* Carrying out first line maintenance duties when required in order to keep plan running smoothly
* Working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A relevant technical qualification such as an NVQ/ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline
* Experience in operations and/or maintenance in a heavy process environmental involving steam raising
* Ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
Personal skills
The Shift Technician role would suit someone who has:
* Able to work a 2D, 2N, 4off shift rota
* Able to work well alone or within a team
* Highly motivated with desire to learn and develop

* Starting salary of �31,800 + overtime
