What is the job role?We are recruiting a Team Leader (Social work Qualified) for our Intake Team. This is an exciting time to join this fantastic and committed team who respond to safeguarding and changes in circumstances in relation with adults from age 18 years and upwards.

This is a full-time post (37hours) and you will lead a team of staff (social workers and Community Case workers) who respond to both Adult safeguarding and queries that arise on adults social cares caseload who are not allocated to a practitioner.

Working with a diverse network of professionals, as a Team Leader you will provide leadership of this service/function and will work closely with another team leader peer to manage the Intake function.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?We are looking for a culturally competent leader who can lead a team who and provide an immediate response to Care Act duties. You will be compassionate but confident, able to work under pressure and motivate and encourage your team.

You will be committed and passionate about practice, sharing learning and knowledge and developing others. You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery. 


You must be able to lead by example, whilst ensuring that the team you lead facilitate a strength-based approach, ensuring that safeguarding and timely response to changes in circumstance for the unallocated social care caseload facilitated. 


You will work with a Colleague to lead and develop the Intake function and interface with other functions in social care and partners
