As a General Assistant here in HM Navel Base, Portsmouth, you're role is pivotal to us delivering the best possible service for our colleagues and clients. This key role keeps the day to day operation clock ticking, and your importance to our facilities management is essential!
What You'll do:
Provide excellent customer service, from daily collection and delivery of satellite meals, to supporting the wider FMSP customer experience team with daily operational requirements.
Understand and ensure adherence to Food Safety Legislation, working practices and procedures
Assist with all aspects of deliveries, storage, preparation, and presentation of food service, to the notified standard
Assist with the replenishment of stock, and equipment, to ensure service periods do not stop
Assist, as required, at special functions, some of which may occur outside normal working hours
Collect and deliver required satellite meals, for ships demands, as and when required
Additional duties may be assigned to cover for annual leave or sickness, as required
What you bring:
IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
Excellent organisational skills
Time management skills
Ability to work independently
