Sodexo has over 40 years of experience supporting the defence forces of the UK, the US and France.We support individuals, the community and the environment on base, working with military leaders to enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of personnel across all military services.Based at Merville Barracks in Colchesterwe are recruiting for a Technical and Quality Assurance Assistant (Food Manufacturing)to oversee the safety, quality and legality of all food products made on site.Due to the nature of this role security clearance is required for which you would need to have a valid British passport and have lived in the UK for over 5 years.You must also be residing within a commutable distance of Colchester, Essex, CO2 7UT.This is a busy and varied role where you will be working under the Central Food Production Unit Operations Manager within the catering department and be responsible for the following:Health and Safety (including risk assessments and allergen checks)Client relationship management.Stock ControlAuditsStaff training and machinery trainingYou will have a Level 3 CIEH Food safety or equivalent qualification and IOSH qualification as well as proven experience of quality assurance and industry knowledge of chilled/ frozen food manufacturing.You will be keen, enthusiastic, and willing to learn and have good organisation, communication and customer service skills and high attention to detail.Most importantly, you will lead by example and help to embed a culture where each individual sees health and safety as a priority inline with Sodexo’s vision of creating a ‘zero harm’ mindset.Package DescriptionWorking with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.You’ll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you’ll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you’ll be able to thrive in your own way.
