The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial management of architectural metalwork projects from tender to final account. You will be involved in cost planning, contract administration, and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your experience from a main contractor background will be invaluable in managing both pre- and post-contract phases.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for metalwork projects.
* Manage project costs, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
* Handle procurement and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Administer contracts, assess variations, and handle final accounts.
* Provide regular financial reports and analysis to stakeholders.
* Collaborate closely with project teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery.

What We're Looking For:

* 3 -5 years previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a main contractor, and a strong understanding of construction processes.
* Experience in architectural metalwork, steelwork, or related sectors is a bonus but not essential.
* Strong financial management, negotiation, and contract administration skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
* Ability to manage risk, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and provide practical solutions.
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Alternatively, a HND (Higher National Diploma) in construction or a related discipline with relevant experience.
