Claremont Consulting are partnered with a leading Bespoke Consultancy who specialize in providing scalable and reliable Infrastructures to their customers to ensure they have the right Infrastructure set up from the get go!. Headquartered in Woerden, they are looking for a SRE on a permanent basis for a big enterprise project.
Your role
As a Site Reliability Engineer you are responsible for guaranteeing
the reliability, availability and performance of our critical systems
customers. You work at the boundaries of software and systems engineering and combine strong strengths technical skills with a pragmatic approach. You contribute to the improvement of internal and customer-facing application platforms and works together with a team of driven professionals to implement new processes and technologies.
What does a day on a project look like?
* Morning: Start your day with a stand-up meeting to monitor ongoing progress discuss tasks and identify any problems. Then you work on it configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters and implement them new infrastructure as code with Terraform.
* Afternoon: After lunch you will participate in a design discussion about new features and plan improvements. You analyze system performance and configure monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to identify potential bottlenecks identify.
* Afternoon: You work on automating CI/CD pipelines with, for example GitHub Actions or Gitlab and resolves any incidents that occur involving your performs root cause analyzes and writes post-mortems.
* End of the day: End your day with a knowledge sharing session where team members best share practices and new insights, and make time to develop your technical skills to further develop using your training budget.
Your profile
* HBO working and thinking level in Business Information Technology or a similar education
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
* Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as (GCP, Azure, AWS) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
* Strong knowledge of at least 2 programming languages such as Golang, Python, Bash, Powershell of Java
* Knowledge and experience of infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, AWS CDK
* Knowledge and experience with CI/CD Pipelines such as Azure Devops, Gitlab, Jenkins, Github Actions
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Elasticsearch / Kibana and Prometheus / Grafana
* Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
* Analytical, problem-solving and stress resistant
* Proactive attitude and a self-taught learning style
