Painter and Decorator£30,000Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our friendly estates and facilities team. Our properties are children’s homes and creating a safe comfortable environment is what this role is all about. We are ideally looking for someone with strong painting and decorating experience and relevant qualifications. It would also be beneficial to be capable of other basic general maintenance.The painting and decorating will be both internal and external. The work will vary from full re-decoration of properties as part of planned maintenance to tidying up and repairing small, damaged areas as part of reactive maintenance. The role requires both lone working and working together with others on larger projects.Essential qualities that we look for:• Minimum Level 2/3 City and Guilds Painting and Decorating qualification or approved recognised trade qualification equivalent.• Evidence of health and safety training and experience• Can trouble shoot, using one’s initiative.• Happy to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and get stuck into helping with all aspects of our maintenance teams jobs and able to problem solve.• Is an enthusiastic team player, but also comfortable working on their own.• A full, valid, UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle.All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland as we follow safer recruitment processes.
