Are you an expert in financial accounting with a passion for making a difference? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where your skills can truly shine? We are currently looking for a Financial Transactions Accountant to join our busy team at Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions in vibrant London!

As our Financial Transactions Accountant, you will take charge of overseeing accounting records and transactions within the general ledger. Your keen eye for detail will ensure error-free information for our charity's decision-making processes, while you implement effective procedures and uncover inefficiencies. You will also provide essential accounting services, review journal entries, maintain and control physical records, and analyse general ledger accounts. Hours of Work: Full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid and flexible working arrangements can be made.

Salary: �38,167 - �42,698 per annum + company benefits

Financial Transactions Accountant Requirements:

* Significant financial accounting experience, ideally in social housing and/or the voluntary/charity sector.
* Significant experience of handling large volumes of data within the general ledger and interpreting such data for decision-making.
* Proven ability to work effectively with, Regulatory bodies and Funders and in building effective partnerships
* Experience of working with Fixed Asset administration.
* Experience of working with Treasury administration
* Experience of using financial accounting packages and /or databases.
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel including using complex spreadsheets and formulae, and a high level of IT literacy.
* Experience of analysing management information and making recommendations to inform decision-making.
* Understanding of the requirements of the Charity Commission, Housing Regulator, Companies House, Financial Services Authority and other relevant statutory bodies
* Experience and ability to set and manage budgets and of contributing to the development of business and strategic plans.
* Possible Experience/knowledge of the issues facing the ex-Service community.
* Knowledge of financial and business practice in small/medium sized business enterprises including maintaining prime financial records and trial balance interrogation.
* An aptitude for IT - a good knowledge of Excel and accounting packages.
* Relevant accountancy part-qualification (desirable)
* Minimum education to A level or equivalent, or relevant, academic or management qualification or relevant transferable experience.
* Strong QBE (essential), linked to the job description.
