As our Head of Finance, you'll provide invaluable support to the executive team and senior managers, delivering precise and timely management information. You'll oversee financial operations that matter, from preparing monthly accounts to advising on project structures, all while fostering a collaborative environment across our charity. Your leadership will empower our finance team and drive continuous improvement in our financial processes.
Hours of Work: 21 hours per week, hybrid and flexible by agreement!
Salary: �49,963 - �55,727 pro-rata + company benefits
Head of Finance Requirements:
* Extensive experience of internal financial controls and Capital/Property accounting.
* Significant financial management experience, ideally in social housing and/or the voluntary sector
* Proven ability to work effectively with, Regulatory bodies and Funders and in building effective partnerships
* Extensive experience in reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing journals.
* Extensive experience in handling large volumes of data
* Advanced excel use and knowledge including lookups and pivot tables.
* Significant experience of using Financial accounting packages and /or databases.
* Experience of managing and motivating a staff team, including recruitment and selection, supervision, performance management and appraisal, identifying and meeting training needs.
* Demonstrable knowledge of the financial and business practices in small/medium sized organisations including maintaining prime financial records, trial balance and final accounts and preparing and monitoring financial budgets.
* Ability to develop, monitor and improve financial systems and controls and make effective use of IT
* Qualified accountant.
* Project Management or other post qualification education/training desirable.
