Reporting to the Meetings and Events Manager you will part of the event team who are responsible for the day-to-day meetings and events operation, complemented by casual members of staff.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the highest level of food and customer service is provided at all times within the Meeting and Events departmentMake sure all allergen information is appropriate and correct Have an understanding and the knowhow to assist on the delivery of meeting refreshments and lend support to the breakout team when required Take ownership of reviewing and updating M&E standard operating procedures (SOPs) inline with current practices, making improvement and changes where necessaryWrite set up/prep sheets to aid leading set up teams ahead of scheduled meetings and events to ensure each area is event readyTake the lead on developing ‘daily inspection reports’ through the Compass lead system, Paperless. With aim to make sure they best fit the Meeting and Events department’s requirements and operating proceduresLead team briefings ahead of events, ensuring the casual staff have all the necessary information and are fully trained To lead on the delivery of events throughout the year, managing between 1 and 50 members of casual staff per dayEnsure that the highest level of food and customer service is provided at all times within the Meeting and Events departmentEnsure all allergen information is appropriate and correct Understand the requirements of the Members and build a relationship with them via first class communication and customer service skillsMaintain and help build excellent working relationships with the F&D team as well as the M&E team through a hands-on approachSend consumptions to the Events Coordinator on a daily basis for invoicing purposesSupport the Finance department by making sure all Internal Meetings and Breakout trackers are correct with the most recent information for invoices purposesSupport to HR department by ensuring all casual staff are signed in, out and breaks assigned on a daily basis for payroll purposesCommercial awareness of events costs including but not limited to; labour, linen, food, beverage and kit hireAttend and give input to weekly forecasting and functions meetings Liaise with the M&E Head Chef, ensuring all food is delivered in a timely manner for each event in line with the function sheetKeep control over uniform stock, returns and launderingAssist the Meeting and Events Manager with weekly linen orders and distribution across siteAssist the Meeting and Events Managers with monthly staffing requirements for upcoming eventsTo protect and safeguard all Compass monies, stock and propertySecondment to support The Championships’ operation where requiredWho we are:Levy UK & Ireland is the vibrant and exciting sector of Compass Group, the world’s largest catering company.
