When it comes to delivering a first-rate client experience, our gifted front of house crew sets the standard. At Strathallan School, Forgandenny Perth, PH2 9EG, we presently have a fantastic opportunity for a Front of House Catering Supervisor to join our busy team.

You will be in charge of overseeing your team's and your own workloads, providing necessary training support, and making sure everything runs well in a hectic work environment.

What you do:


Contribute to the strategic management and business development of the food services. 
Oversee successful daily service delivery in a friendly & efficient manner
Administration – food temperatures, cleaning schedules, etc
Daily coaching of the team
Assist FOH manager with training
Promote a safe working environment by reporting near misses & report any faulty equipment in a timely manner
Continually monitor all health and safety, food standards and hygiene standards and ensure they are maintained at the highest level. 
Line Manage, develop, and supervise the Catering Team.
Support in preparing menus in conjunction with qualified dieticians to ensure compliance with nutritional standards.
Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all appropriate records on the receipt, storage, and issue of food items. 
Ensure that all food entering the control of the catering department is produced and served to the highest standard. 
Responsible for the leadership of all employees including effective resource management, recruitment, induction, PDRs, development, coaching and performance management.  


What you bring:

Essential 


Experience of managing a catering department, with a proven ability to create and implement new ideas 
Strong organisational skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks at the same time
Ensure good customer service at all times
Ability to deliver some hospitality events
Flexible in terms of working hours & days
Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
Experience of managing and leading a team and ability to work well under pressure
Ability to inspire others through your leadership to support and motivate others to reach their full potential. 
Experience relating to purchasing, stock controls and menu planning 
Strong communication, organisation and time-management and people management skills 


Desirable 


Assessor qualification (or equivalent) plus experience of delivering catering qualifications

40 hours per week
Working pattern:  5 days over 7. Earliest start 7am & latest finish 19:30.  Some hospitality events (not regular) will finish later.
