Plant and Welding Equipment Engineer - Grangemouth - Monday to Friday - 07:30-17:00 - 45 hours per weekFlexible hours available this includes job shares/ amended hours, we will consider all. Offering a work/life balance is of great importance to Speedy!Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment including welding and engineering, plant and support services – everything for every job! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant and Welding Equipment Engineer to provide overall responsibility for the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant hire and welding equipment in the region, ensuring that all work undertaken is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards. *Welding and engineering equipment that you would be expected to test, service and maintain: - diesel, petrol, Tig and Mig welders, welding fume extractors, electrical pipe threaders, handheld pipe threaders, pipe jointing tools and crimping tools* On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working directly with other engineers in the depot and liaising regularly with drivers and the hire desk team to ensure repairs and maintenance of plant equipment is prioritised effectively.What you’ll need:Proven ability to test and repair plant and welding equipment to the highest standard, ideally gained within the hire industry or similarNVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant disciplineTechnical/engineering background is desirable.Electrical knowledge is desirable.Flexible approach to working hours.Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.Speedy operates an industry leading Work Life Balance initiative, demonstrating our commitment to reducing core contracted hours, supporting colleague wellbeing, and identifying more balanced work patterns for our colleagues which is a huge step in realising our ambition of putting our People First.
