About The Role
Your primary role is to lead activity sessions both within the service and in the community. Working collaboratively with other activity coordinators, you will develop a weekly or bi-weekly planner that accommodates the needs of all individuals. You will also ensure the smooth execution of this planner, conducting regular reviews and updates as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Support Staff with Activities:
· Collaborate with support workers to facilitate individual participation in activities.
· Provide guidance and resources to staff, ensuring they are equipped to support individuals effectively.
Plan and Implement Person-Centered Activity Programs:
· Develop and organize activities that are tailored to the interests and abilities of each individual.
· Continuously assess and adapt programs to meet changing needs and preferences.
· Ensure all activities are inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Understand Individual Needs:
· Gain a deep understanding of each individual's needs, including their skill development, health, well-being, and personal care requirements.
· Use this understanding to create meaningful and engaging activities that promote personal growth and enjoyment.
Maintain Accurate Documentation:
· Keep all records and documentation related to activities up to date and accurate.
· Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures regarding documentation.
Contribute to High-Quality Service Provision:
· Participate in SCRC's induction program and ongoing training opportunities.
· Engage in regular supervision and contribute to team meetings.
· Uphold the values of respect and inclusivity towards individuals, their families, colleagues, and the public.
· Consider the diverse backgrounds and needs of individuals, including age, gender, ethnicity, religion, abilities, and personal preferences.
· Adhere to SCRC policies and maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for everyone.

· Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager or senior management that align with the nature and grade of the role.
