As a Project Manager, you will facilitate projects from initiation to completion, including quoting and client engagement, managing projects independently or with senior support. Your role involves delivering projects within scope, on time, and within budget, while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Technical Project Leads (TPLs), project teams, and stakeholders. You'll communicate project progress, risks, and issues clearly, representing Broughton as the main client contact. Key tasks include supporting or leading internal projects, managing project teams, and involving external suppliers or clients. You'll create and maintain a project management plan (PMP) with timelines, responsibilities, and a risk management plan. Defining work breakdown structures, coordinating activities, and leading planning sessions are essential duties. You will control project finances, track progress, and report outputs, conducting risk analysis to mitigate obstacles and costs. Managing decisions and changes according to best practices, addressing issues promptly, and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships are crucial. You'll also compile status reports, manage project calls, and ensure activities align with the budget.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday) with a 30-minute lunch break. Hybrid working, maximum 3 days remote.
Project Manager Requirements:
* Graduate of a Scientific or related subject area - preferred
* Project Management qualification - preferred
* Minimum of 1 years experience in client facing project management.
* PRINCE2 or Agile methodology qualification or experience.
* Experience in project design and planning. Experience working within a project environment/managing a project
* Experience of having budgetary control and effective management of deviations.
* Scientific background or experience within a scientific industry.
