Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a world leading engineering company to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor in Cumbria.
The essential Junior Quantity Surveyor role comes with a salary from �35,000 to �45,000 and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Junior Quantity Surveyor you will:
* Support project teams with their commercial requirements, ensure commercial documentation and information remains compliant with the contractual agreement.
* Ensure any amendments, additional payments or claims are communicated accordingly.
* Provide at project and business level on time and accurate cost and value reporting.
* Work with site management to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with target Share best practice with others and be proactive in advising site teams on costs and management of them.
* Support the due diligence of commercial processes across the unit.
* Acknowledge and work to respective processes and procedures and where possible look for ways to improve them.
* Ensure all contracts have appropriate terms and conditions with identified risks.
* Work with the supply chain, ensuring appropriate engagement with contract terms and conditions.
* Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting.
* Support with commercial and operational team communications
* Any other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying
* Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
