Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a respected Civil Engineering business delivering various construction projects to recruit a Section Engineer for its Suffolk site.
The Section Engineer role comes with a salary of �42,000, Car Allowance, lodging allowance and more.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Agent you will:
* Acknowledge and adhere to site H&S, Quality and Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures.
* Work to and maintain contract documents and ensure the project is constructed to most recent documentation and information.
* Management of Site Engineers and support other team members in their duties where required.
* Be responsible for the management of resource materials quantities and monitor waste.
* Communicate with the client and other disciplines to progress the project.
* Monitor and provide updates on progress of work vs the construction programme and provide input in any required updates.
* Provide input into the Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the works ensuring that works inspections are completed in accordance with the agreed inspection and testing procedures and assist in the monitoring of environmental impacts.
* Establish precise and correct setting out on the ground that site workers can follow with ease.
* Any other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A degree/Foundation Degree or BTEC in Civil Engineering
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering in a heavy industrial setting (Not residential)
Personal skills

* A great communicator both on site and with stakeholders and senior management
* Knowledgeable in construction management processes and procedures
* Capable of working under pressure while maintaining control
