There will be ample opportunity to liaise with staff from across the organisation, as well as the chance to gain knowledge of all finance income areas. You will also have access to endless learning and development.A day in this role looks like….As an Income Officer at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Central Services. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:To ensure that income received into the bank is posted accurately into the rent accounting system. To update and maintain the bank spreadsheet (in Excel) showing receipts posted.To ensure all tenant starters and leavers have been promptly actioned for the respective rent week. (Starters being cross-checked
to the tenancy database (SalesForce In-Form) and to the master rent and charges schedule for correct rent applied.)To review the suspense account monthly, to identify receipts not able to be allocated and liaise with the Senior Income Officer over allocation.To ensure all receipts are filed accurately and promptly.To raise invoices related to rental system tenants and to follow up any non-payment of these invoices.To raise invoices related to survivor-support fund applications for the MSR Team together with supporting documentation. To excel in this role, you should possess:Experience of working in a busy accounts office.Experience of rent accounting and sales ledger systems.Strong attention to detail.Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and use of electronic rent systemsStrong query handling and administrative skillsExcellent communication skills both written and spokenThe ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal/external stakeholdersBe able to work under pressure and deliver a high-volume workloadCommitted to being a positive contributor to the teamDemonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to workAbility to act as an ambassador for Hestia
