We are the Programme Management Office that supports projects and programmes across the organisation and we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our Team.

This is a great opportunity to build new skills, work as part of a friendly team and support West Northamptonshire Council on its transformation journey, shaping the design and delivery of the transformation portfolio that spans the whole organisation.

What will you be doing?As a Project Support Officer you will work as part of the Programme Management Office, supporting the project managers and other professionals to deliver the organisation's transformation portfolio.

You will have the opportunity to work in a large-scale project environment, build relationships across the organisation and develop new skills and capabilities such as: 



Developing and maintaining key project documentation 


Supporting projects and project managers 


Working with senior managers and directors


Engaging with partner organisations 


Providing specialist administrative expertise 


Undertaking project and programme governance and assurance 


Advising on project standards and processes 

About youIdeally you will have experience of working in a Programme Management Office or project environment as this is a critical role in supporting the delivery of the organisation's transformation portfolio. 

You will be highly organised, used to following procedures and confident in dealing with people. 

You will be a confident communicator, IT literate and able to produce good quality documentation and presentations. 

It would be advantageous for you to have experience of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams. 

You will be a team player able to work unsupervised to established processes and quality standards. 

You will have an eye for detail and an appetite to take on new challenges and opportunities.
