Teaching Personnel are working with a GOOD Primary School in Durham (DH8) where the headteacher is looking to place a Y2 teacher on an ongoing basis. This is a large class on 30 pupils and two Teaching Assistants will also be working full time in the class. The pupils in the class can easily be distracted so good classroom management will be a requirement for this role. Due to the nature of the pupils behaviour, the school are only interested in experienced teachers for this role.
About the Role:
* Starting after the May half-term covering a long term sickness, the school currently have a member of staff in place until 6 th June. This will be an ongoing role into the next academic year
* Working hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday (term time only)
* Weekly Pay between �500-�700 paid every Friday + �250 referral bonus!
* Working within a large Y2 class with the support of two teaching assistants
* Raising attainment across the class, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the pupils have large gaps in their learning which the head is eager to close
* Working alongside the teaching assistants to arrange targeted interventions in core subjects

Candidate Requirements:
* UK recognised teaching qualification
* Experienced teaching working within a large class with disruptive pupils
* Strong classroom and behaviour management
* Track record of improvement attainment across subjects, including core subjects
* Hold a Child Only DBS accessible on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
