We are currently seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join our team. Our Category Management team adds significant value to the Tarmac business, and this vacancy would provide the right candidate with a superb opportunity to develop their career in a supportive and high performing environment.

This role will enable you to take full ownership of the Production Equipment category (which includes spare parts, wear parts and mechanical and electrical equipment), whilst also providing you with the autonomy to influence across the business, up to and including Director level stakeholders. You will also have opportunity to work globally at group level, and across other categories within Tarmac.

Whilst the role is based out of our Head Office in Solihull, Tarmac employs a flexible, hybrid working model.
Main Responsibilities
You will have full control of spend within your category, and have opportunity to develop best practice and strategies to deliver value and cost savings to the business.
The successful candidate will also influence and support global CRH strategy, taking the lead on UK/Ireland cluster level strategy for your category, and managing strategic relationships with key country suppliers to drive value.
You will have the autonomy to own the category end-to-end, which will include Sustainability, SRM and Contract Management, driving compliance, long-term value add and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate
It is a given that you will have relevant Procurement experience, however we would anticipate that this role would represent a natural career progression for the right candidate.
You will ideally by MCIPS qualified, however this is not essential
Multi-country exposure would be advantageous, as would experience of a range of industry sectors
